Microeconomics (VET) — course code KEMM/VETMIK/14. Level EQF 6 · 5 ECTS · 125 hours of study · language of instruction: English.
The course covers twelve units, from the economic way of thinking and the market mechanism through consumer and firm behaviour, market structures (perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly, monopolistic competition) and competition policy, to factor markets and the distribution of income. Each unit combines a written study text (with parallel full audio), a short video overview, worked examples, a reading list, an interactive tool and a game, a problem set, and a self-check quiz.
Assessment. The course grade is determined entirely (100 %) by a final examination of 20 questions drawn at random from a 240-item bank; the pass mark is 51 %. The examination is an open-book test taken in Safe Exam Browser (identity verification is being introduced). The twelve self-check quizzes and the market-analysis assignment are formative: they carry no weight in the grade but must be completed (quizzes with a passing score) to unlock the examination.
